Spiritual Prayer- The Hail Mary

A system of prayer based on the Hail Mary

The present " Hail Mary" is:

Hail Mary.
Full of grace.
The Lord is with You.
Blessed are You among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb

Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now,
and in the hour of our death.
Amen.

This is a wonderful prayer and is used in
conjunction with a rosary. The rosary is a system of counting prayer by
the use of beads. Ten beads make a decade,
the prayer being said on each bead.

After saying ten "Hail Marys" then the person says
the "Glory be to the Father"...( Gloria Patri) The "O my Jesus..." (Fatima prayer) the "Our Father" (Lord's prayer) and starts all over again.
Then we introduce one of the five holy mysteries.

The Hail Mary is an example of a powerful method
of prayer based on focus and repetition.

The person must be focused on the discipline of prayer and must be disciplined in the repetitions.
However, this wonderfully powerful method of prayer is most often associated with the Roman Catholic Church.

Can other christians use this prayer?

I suggest that this prayer can be modified and
that the edited version has all of the same power as the unedited version.
Plus, it is more universally acceptable to others.

A Suggestion

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with You.
Blessed are You among women
and blessed is the fruit of Your womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary, choosen of God. Pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.
This prayer is prayed on the first ten bead.
The second ten beads begins the same:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Jesus, Son of God,
be with us sinners, now
and in the hour of our death. Amen

This prayer of petition to Jesus is followed on the third set of ten beads with the following:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Spirit, Counselor of God,
teach us sinners now
and plead for us till the hour of our death. Amen
On the next set of ten beads, the prayer is:
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy God, Mighty Lord, Gracious Father.
Forgive us sinners now and accept us in the hour of our death. Amen .

OR

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with You.
Blessed are You among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary, choosen Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and in the hour of our death. Amen
Holy Jesus, Son of God,
be with us sinners now
and in the hour of our death. Amen
Holy Spirit, Counselor of God,
Teach us sinners now and plead for us, till the hour of our death. Amen
Holy God, Mighty Lord, Gracious Father
Forgive us sinners,now
and accept us in the hour of our death.
Amen

This could be prayed using a rosary and followed by
the Lord's prayer, or the Gloria Patri, or the 23rd psalm,
or any combination of devotional recitations.
