Old People's Riding Club
The Old People's Riding Club (formerly Old People's Pony Club) was founded in 1998 for horse people over the age of 21. It is based on the US Pony Club standards and ideals. Riders from all disciplines are welcome to participate.
OPRC is not affiliated with the US Pony Clubs, but incorporates their high standards of safety. Our ratings are similar to USPC, but, have been modified for us not-so-young-whipper-snappers! The first rating, D-1, is required to show that the rider can ride safely and can provide basic care for a horse. All others ratings are optional.
We meet about every 3 weeks, depending on our scheduled events. Some of our activities include field trips to regional horse shows, Horse World Expo trips, trail rides, hosting our own show, clinics, demonstrations. And of course, we'll be sending a team to the next National Rally!
