Happy Holidays From The Writer's Room!

Maple: That's what radio does to strangers. It makes family of us all.
Maple's heartwarming sentiment from the finale of Christmas in the Airwaves.

This is just my little holiday greeting to all of you, no matter what holiday celebrate during this joyous time of year.

Here's to the cast and crew of "Remember WENN", and to all you WENNers out there. May your all of your holiday wishes come true! (Such as, I wish AMC would release WENN on DVD...)

The WENN Fans' Virtual Christmas Cards

Every year from 1997 to 1999, Linda and James Young set up on line Christmas cards for the cast and crew of REMEMBER WENN from their fans.

1998's Christmas Card
1999's Christmas Card

My WENN Holiday Fanfiction

In Thankful for You, Betty comforts a lonely Scott after hours on the night before Thanksgiving 1941.
The WENN Nutcracker Suite is my WENN spoof of the classic Nutcracker story.
There are two Christmas-themed stories in my On the Edge of the Precipice Series, WENN Home for the Holidays and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
Another Precipice Christmas tale is the holiday special Betty's Wonderful Life, a homage to one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies.
Cinderella of the Airwaves is my New Year's tale. Betty wants to attend Gloria Redmond's New Year's Eve party, but she's too busy. The WENN staff and a sponsor help make her dreams come true.

More WENN Holiday Fanfiction

Alice Burton wrote a "missing scene" fanfic about Jeff and Hilary during Christmas in the Airwaves.
Britt Graves' first holiday fanfic is The First Christmas, a charming WENN take on the classic O. Henry story "The Gift of the Magi."
Katie MacNamara's Christmas Memories is another alternative universe story about Christmas Eve 1941. A Special Christmas is a Hilary/Jeff romance set after All Noisy on the Pittsburgh Front.
Suzanne has a WENN "It's a Wonderful Life" story available at Fanfiction.Net, It's a Wennderful Life.
Dana Sherman wrote A Tale of Thanksgiving and the heartwarming Christmas fic, Christmas Basket.
Rina Stewart's hilarious For Better, For Worse, For Revenge takes place during the Christmas season. She also spun a more romantic Christmas tale, Loving an Angel, about Betty hoping for Scott's safe return from World War II.
Angela Tircut's holiday story involves Maple and the holiday her family celebrates: Haunukah.
Rita Widmer's Christmas is Waiting is the holiday edition of her series "Remembering WENN". She also wrote a short holiday story, A Sleep In.
Christina Wilson wrote a Pearl Harbor alternate universe story, A Cold December.
Linda Young wrote Homecoming in response to a challenge on the WENNlist to write a Christmas fanfic. It takes place after Christmas in the Airwaves. This is Linda's version of Betty's flight to Elkheart and her arrival home. The Letter tells of Victor's training for his Jonathan Arnold role during the Christmas season. The Memory Tree is a sweet Christmas story about Mr. Eldridge, set after Christmas in the Airwaves. Past Nine O'Clock is a short story about Thanksgiving at Betty's home during the Depression, and Secrets is the sequal. Haven is a short story about Scott's life as a child in Nantucket during the Christmas season.

I thought I'd do something different this year and let the WENN Staff themselves give you all their holiday greetings. We'll start with Mr. Jeff Singer and Miss Hilary Booth...

Hilary: Merry Christmas, Pumpkin!
Jeffrey: Merry Christmas, Mittens! (kisses her under the mistletoe)
Hilary: Pumpkin, I think you're losing your touch. Let me show you what a real holiday kiss is like...
Jeffrey: Mmmmm...now that's a merry Christmas.

Victor: My collegues and I would like to wish each member of our listening and viewing community the most joyful and delightful of holiday seasons.
Maple: He means Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah, and so do I! Have a great one, folks!

Scott: Whatcha' writing there, Betty Roberts?
Betty: Oh, just some Christmas cards. (Sighs) I love this time of the year, don't you?
Scott: Yeah, it's great for our advertising and great to give presents. (Hands Betty a package) Merry Christmas, Betty Roberts!
Betty: Thank you, Scott. And Happy Holidays to everyone!

Eugenia: Mr. Foley is busy eating his Christmas dinner, so I'll entertain you with some music!

We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas! And Mr. Foley says "Merry Christmas", too!

Mackie: Don't even think about it, Victor. I'm playing Santa Claus this year!

Celia: Hi-hi! I'm enjoying Christmas in sunny Hollywood this year. What a difference from Pittsburgh. People have picnics for Christmas dinner and they don't worry about being snowed in.

Have a wonderful holiday season!
