Since retiring, I have had numerous opportunities to continue my career in forensics and fingerprint identification. Florida, California, Ohio, England etc. etc. etc..........
So, what did I do.......?
I worked as a custodian (janitor) at a grammar school.
Three to Eleven, five nights a week. Nobody looking over my shoulder.
In June of 2001 I returned to the Police Department as an Identification Officer (civilian) assigned to the Firearms / License and Permits Unit. It is great work and NOBODY bothers me. The boss just wants the WORK DONE.
