Pitman Boys Cross Country
Pitman Boys Cross Country
The Pitman Boys Cross Country squad ran their last meet of the year at the South Jersey Championships on Saturday, November 8th, at Kingsway. They finished 8th in South Jersey Group 1, failing to qualify for the state meet in Homdel, New Jersey. Although this was certainly a disappointing ending, the boys put together a good season over the past two and a half months. I speak on behalf of the team when I say thanks to Mr. Eck, our coach, for a great season. Some seniors were visibly emotional after Saturday's meet, realizing that it was the last one they will ever be a part of. Underclassmen, however, look to the future for brighter days. Personally, I would like to say that it's been a great two years of cross country, and I loved every minute of it. Except the minutes when I was actually running. Other than that it was great. So as I move on in life, I will take with me the memories of cross country, memories that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Thanks to everyone who came out for the team this year, it was a lot of fun. And to you seniors, good luck in the meet of life.
