Click here for Y2K - Have you heard or paid any attention to the upcoming Year 2000 problem (Y2K). It is coming up in the news more often and it seems we will all be affected...but to what degree? Forced bank closures, utility failures, a global recession all caused by programs using a two-digit number to represent the year. Could it be possible that this one little mistake could be our undoing, even though we have had years to address and fix this problem???

There seems to be two schools of thought. The doom-sayers who predict the end of the world as we know it and the blissfully ignorant who foresee only minor inconveniences. The first seems overly radical while the second seems very naive. I tend to think it will be somewhere in the middle...and even that is ditutbing. The half way point is still more painful and inconvenient than we would like. Take a good look at this site and explore all the links, this could keep you busy for some time. Be careful because you may find yourself stockpiling food and water to survive the initial impact!

Take a good look and judge for yourself, keeping in mind to take everything with a grain of salt. I found one aspect
very interesting, the author of this site seems to have a religious take on the solution. Maybe he's right...who knows! Having explored the subject through this site has opened my mind and I am now more aware of the problem - check it out.
