Stop me if I’m blabbering…. On June 29th, 1999 I was sitting at home bored out of my mind. I wanted to write a new story but was out of ideas, suddenly I just started writing and in few minutes I had the prologue to ‘The One Desire’, which was then still untitled. Next I began contemplating the names, I don’t exactly know where Becky, Liz and Amanda came from but Melanie was taken from Mel. C (don’t laugh) and Autumn was just another of my fascination with unusual names. The story began. The next day I wanted badly to make a site, any site. My computer worked thankfully and the site began but I needed a title. One desire came from my favorite songs ‘The One’ from BSB album. You know the line, ‘You are my fire, my one desire.’ I had the title and 3 chapters of the story. For the next 5 days I wrote whatever came to me, unfortunately I had to leave for my vacation. While away I was checking my mail and saw the great response to the story. I guess that was just the beginning. I never thought so many people would like such a soap opera driven thing. As time passed on, I expanded the site but you people still favored the story. It was also divided into two groups, people who wanted Scott and Mel and people for Abs and Mel. Personally, from the beginning I favored Mel and Abs, hence the ending. So why did Amanda ended up with Scott? Simple, I wanted Abs and Mel, so to keep Scott busy and bring a change to the story I put them together. It was just an object of my imagination, don’t hate me cause you didn’t get your way. I just want to say that through it all this story wouldn’t probably go pass chapter 14, I had enough of it by then but the you gals kept me motivated, your feedback, your comments, everything. And a year later, 67 chapters down the story is over thanks to you. Hope you stay to see what happens to the other stories.
