The Mushrooms vs. The Bananas
A large speaker booms out over the crowd.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Speaking now are the two who will be your announcers for this season, King Bowser Koopa (that's me) and Kamek Koopa. Before we begin, please rise for the national anthem which will be played today by the loudspeakers."
The Super Mario Bros. tune plays over twice on an old, scratched forty-five record.
Kamek speaks. "Now let's introduce our players! For the Mushrooms, playing Pitcher, (Oh, and by the way, Bowser is now on the field. He is on the Mushrooms) Mario Mario! Playing 1B, Luigi Mario. Playing 2B, Princess Peach Toadstool. Playing 3B, Toad. Playing Catcher, Bowser Koopa. Playing Short Stop, Princess Daisy. Playing Left Field, Wario Mario. Playing Center Field, WaLuigi Mario. And, playing Right Field, Mallow."
Guest Announcer Samus speaks. "For the Bananas, playing pitcher, Donkey Kong. Playing 1B, Donkey Kong Jr. Playing 2B, Cranky Kong. Playing 3B, Diddy Kong. Playing Catcher, Dixie Kong. Playing Short Stop, Kiddy Kong. Playing Left Field, Tiny Kong. Playing Center Field, Lanky Kong. And, playing Right Field, Chunky Kong."
Kamek then speaks, "With that out of the way, let's get to introductions. This is the first game ever of Nintendo Baseball. Each team's captain has chosen a special cause to donate money, that will be won in each game, to. The Mushrooms are playing for "Rotten Mushroom Disease". The Bananas are are playing for "Funky Banana Disease". The first pitch of the season will be thrown by the 2B player, Princess Peach. Here's the pitch, and it's a ball."
Samus takes her turn. "Let's begin! All right, going in to the Top of the 1st. The Bananas will bat first. Here's the pitch by Mario, and, a Ball, the count is 2-0 on DK. Mario throws a Fastball, and it's a strike. Mario throws his trademark, "The Fireball", which literally burns up the air as it heads towards the plate, Strike 2. The next pitch is another Ball. Full Count on DK. Here's the pitch. Strike 3! You're out!"
Samus hands the mike to the purple-robed Magikoopa next to her, and Kamek takes his turn. "Diddy is now up to bat, he straightens his cap, and takes up his stance. Here's the pitch, it's a Curveball, and it's swung on and missed. Next pitch, Slider, strike. Count is 0-2. A knuckler is thrown and it's fouled out into the stands. Next pitch is a Change-up, swung on and missed, Kong is out."
It is now Samus's turn again. "Mario pitches a splitter, a knuckler, and a fastball to get 2 strikes and a ball. DK Jr. is up. Next pitch is swung on. Strike Three! Mario has struck out the side!

We are now in the Bottom of the 9th. The score is 9-6, in favor of the Bananas, Mario's up at bat, and the bases are loaded. There are 2 outs. Mario has a full count on him. The pitch is one DK has been saving, his "DK Slammer". It almost tears through the fabric of space-time itself. Mario squints his eyes, takes a deep breath, and... WHAM! He smacked that one to Timbuktu! It's a Grand Slam, and the Mushrooms win! 25 Coins go to the "Rotten Mushroom Disease"! THE END!
