Therapeutic & Medical Massage Therapy

Questions to ask before your first Massage:

1. What are the Therapist's qualifications?

2. What types of therapies do they use and what conditions are they used for?

3. What type of education have they received & what professional memberships do they have?

4. When is their next available appointment!!!

How to prepare for your Massage:

In order to get the full benefits of your massage it is necessary for you to prepare yourself. Try to relax your mind and body by closing your eyes for a few minutes and taking long, deep breaths. Take a long, warm shower or bath to relax your muscles and to clean your body and drink at least 10 ounces of water. You will now be relaxed and ready for your massage. Remember to close your eyes and continue to take long, deep breaths through your massage session. Try concentrating on something that is very relaxing to you. This will help your Muscular System "let go".

Depending on what type of massage you receive, you may feel groggy or disoriented and may need to have a friend drive you home. Continue to drink fresh, clean water, as this will help eliminate the toxins that have been released by your massage. If you have any questions or concerns, this is a good time to ask your therapist.

Don't forget to schedule your next Massage appointment before you leave!
