2000 Taylor 'Clave

Here are some pictures from the recent Taylor Park 'Clave.

Collegiate Peaks

Thunderstorm over the Collegiates

I arrived at Taylor Park on Wednesday evening, after slowly making my way up from Santa Fe. I took the back route, as I wanted to look at a couple creeks south of Gunnison. The views were stunning as I crossed over Cumberland Pass (12,000 ft.). Small thunderstorms blanketed the park area west of the Collegiate Peaks.

Small Fleshy Badger

I saw this little fellow running along the road near Willow Creek.

John fishing the Taylor

John Allison fishing the Taylor River a couple miles upstream from the Dinner Station Camp Ground. On Friday morning, John and I climbed Mt. Yale. Click on the link for that story.

Frank hooks one

Here's Frank fishing the Gunnison River a couple miles downstream from Almont. Frank's hooked into a nice sized illegal Kokanee that we were certainly not illegally fishing for. He eventually lost this illegal fish on purpose so that I wouldn't have evidence of his illegal fishing actions

Lies, lies, lies.

John and Frank discuss the day's fishing around the campfire.

Monster fish!
