Questions To The Site

Have a question about Logan? I don't have all the answers but will be glad to research anything you'd like to know about my favorite Canuck. Send any queries to me here.

CoyoteDroppings: "Who is Silver Fox?"
Answer: "The answer to that isn't a quick one. Silver Fox and Logan lived together for a time in Canada - how they met, how long they were together? Currently unknown. Silver Fox and Logan were also both on Team X - an international covert operation team. At some point, Silver Fox joined up with Hydra. When Team X was split up, they were imprinted with false memories - Logan's was that Silver Fox was dead. Killed by Sabretooth. He didn't find out that she was still alive until the team was re-assembled by John Wraith in an attempt to find out exactly what alterations had been done to some of them after the alterations to Mastoden failed and he began rapidly aging. Under the influence of the man calling himself Psi-Borg, Sabretooth killed Silver Fox for real. John Wraith located the cabin that Logan and Fox had lived in - Nick Fury transported them there and Logan buried her near it.."

Hipnotizer36: "In which issue of which comic book did Wolverine get his adamantium claws back? thanks write back."
Answer: "He got his metal back in Wolverine #145 - the 25th Anniversary Issue of that comic."

Sheila Gustafson: "Hi! I was on your Wolverine site and wanted to ask you two questions. In what issue did Wolverine lose his adimantium? Also, in which issue did Wolverine join the X-Men?"
Answer: "Magneto drew the adamantium violently out of Wolverine in X-Men #25. Logan joined the X-Men along with Nightcrawler, Storm, Thunderbird (#1) and Colossus in Giant Sized X-Men #1."

DEBORAHJUSTME: "Yeah, my question is about wild thing when was her first apperance and who is her mother?"
Answer: "So far as I know, Wild Thing's first appearance was in J2, Issue 5 (February 1999). Her mother is Elektra. She also has a half-brother, Sabreclaw."

The Wild Ones!!!: "Hi there! I have a question about Wolvie.Rouge says in Uncanny X-men # 353 that he has a son if he does who's the mother? Thank you very much because this has been driving me crazy."
Answer: "That's unfortunately two of us. To the best of my knowledge, Marvel has yet to expound on this dangling plotline. I know that a son named Hudson (older half-brother to Rina Logan) appears in the future line comic J2, but whether or not that son is the son referenced in Uncanny X-Men #353 is anyone's guess."

"Logan also has a child among the Fire tribe down in the Savage Lands. There's no mention of whether the child was male or female that I've found yet."
(As Uncanny X-Men #353 is not currently a part of my collection, my thanks to an RP associate of mine from IMC, Precious Arcadia - the All-Knowing Oracle of Rogue - for filling me in on the details she knew on the issue in question)

Christopher J. Fenton: " I was an avid x-men fan ... until Onslaught was revealed to be Xavier. Such a build-up with a cliche revelation turned me completely off to the x-men. However, I've recently gotten back into the x-men and was curious about Wolverine. Last time I saw him, his adamantium had been pulled out, and was much more bestial (actually donned a bandana for a mask at the time). I was curious how he got adamantium bonded back to his skeleton and if this process was what caused him to revert back to a more human form. Really appreciate it - thanks!"
Answer: "Sorry for the delay in answering. Okay... it's a rather convulted story in many ways, but basically, the metal was rebonded to his bones by Apolcalypse when he decided that Wolverine was the one that he would use for his new Death. How exactly the bestial appearance got reversed? I can't really say that I've seen them explain that one. If you hear - let me know *g*."

cof03000027: "Hey , where do you finded that his mother is Elektra? and....is he still married with that woman...well...I dont know her name in english , I know it in spanish... is Vibora?"
Answer: "No, his mother isn't Elektra - but in one Marvel 'possible future' storylines, Elektra was the mother of Logan's daughter - Rina Logan also know as Wild Thing. And yes - he was officially married to Viper, but has now managed to obtain a divorce."

Title5Inspection: "what is logans last name?"
Answer: "Logan's last name is Logan. It's his first name that we don't know. In his S.H.I.E.L.D. record, he's listed as NFN Logan -- NFN is military abbreviation for No First Name."

In the Origin series, we find that Logan used to go by the name of James Howlett. He has also made use of the name Jim Logan and Emilio Garra in the past on fake ids.

Andrew Simpson: "I was wondering a couple things about Wolverine. Because of the Adamantium being torn out of his body were Wolverines powers(heitened senses, healing factor) more powerfull? If so was the adamantium taxing them?"
Answer: "When Magneto pulled the metal out of Logan's bones, the main problem was too much for even his healing factor to deal with all at once. His system was overloaded nearly to the point of shutdown. But to what I think the main question is - would Wolverine heal faster if he didn't have the adamantium in his body? I'd have to say he would due to the fact that his healing factor is always working to combat the effects of metal poisoning in his body. Without that, the energy that currently is expended on the poisoning could be used for speeding up other healing. Regarding his enhanced senses? I don't think the adamantium affects them one way or another."

rook215 wrote: " some other ladies are missing, cant think of em all, but theres one i know i wouldnt forget... rogue. As i recall, it was during the time when rogue just joined the xmen, and wolvy was not very happy with it. they were in japan, and wolvy was just about to marry mariko. Uhmmm... check out the graphic novel "from the ashes". it wasnt really fully explored, but i know of another instance where rogue wanted to jump wolvys bones... it was in an xmen annual, "crown of set (?)". not sure of the title, but the story was about rogue and dazzler switching bodies, and the first thing that rogue did was sneak into wolvys room. anyway, hope you can find it and add rogue in your gallery."
Answer: "Very, very late reply - but I finally tracked down the issue you were referring to. The lady wanting to pounce Logan was actually Diamondback, who was indeed inside Dazzler's body at the time (X-Men Annual #13). She has now been added to the 'Ladies' section. Thanks for the lead."

Avalon10: "Hello! I stumbled onto your site and thought that you might be able to answer a question for me. This might be a simple question but the answer has always been lost on me. How did Logan get or select the amazing name of Wolverine? Was it simply given to him? If so, what were the circumstances?"
Answer: "Logan was referred to any number of times as 'being a wolverine'. Considering his size/disposition and the fact that the wolverine has a firm reputation for being a small animal with a big temper, the nickname makes sense. He first picked up the label druing his teen years according the the Origin mini-series. Whether he picked out his own codename with the CIA or it was given to him is questionable, but I'd guess that when told he needed a codename, he simply went with the nickname he minded the least."
