No date is given in this story - however since the Nazis are shown to be fully in control of Paris, we know the story takes place between 1940 (the fall of France) and 1944 (the Normandy invasion). I think 1942-43 is the likely the best guess since Logan was shown to be in Madripoor in 1941 and he was part of the Normandy invasion of '44.

Logan was on a mission to retrieve a scroll that had been lost by the Americans. He neither knew or seemed to particularly care exactly what the scroll was, but he was successful in getting his hands on it. He just wasn't successful at getting out with it without being caught. Obviously from the conversations, Logan and Eikert had met before. That first meeting (if depicted) is one I haven't found yet.

Logan wasn't the only one after the scroll (aka the Lazarus scroll) - so was Zannah aka Zealot. This is the first shown meeting I know of between a future X-Man and a future WildC.A.T. The issue also has the first meeting between Logan and alien races that I'm aware of at this point. By 1941, Logan was already considering the Hand his personal 'hobby', but this is the first mention I know of indicating he was also already familiar with the Si-Fan and Coda.

Again, for details, I recommend scaring up a copy of this crossover - a bit of a confusing, but (in my opinion) worthwhile read.
