I've been racing my truck at Route 66 raceway in Joliet, since I bought the truck. When I bought the truck, I was told that it had a 400 small block in it. When I raced it then, I ran 17.9 @76 mph. A month later, WHEN IT THREW A ROD, we started all over with a 350 small block and rebuilt it. While taking apart the "400" we found out it was actually a 307. I'm not sure if he lied on purpose or if the guy was just an idiot. It just goes to show, "Never trust a back yard mechanic."
Now my best time in the ¼ mile is 14.6 @94 mph. That may not sound too fast, but this thing weighs 4,300 lbs!!! I'm in the process of adding more go-fast parts. I'm hoping to be in the Low 13's or the high 12's this season.

Hey, I'm Dan. I'm from Tinley Park, IL.(a Chicago suburb). I'm a proud Chevy owner that plays on the computer while I'm not racing or working on my truck. Since I bought the truck in August of 1998, my dad and I have rebuilt the engine completely.
