Hi! My name is Abbie-Fran Meyers. I am the daughter of proud parents Sharon and Alan. I am a senior in college. I attend Cortland State University of New York. My major is Elementary Education with a minor in Judaic Studies. I am originally from Bellmore, New York which is a town on Long Island.
THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT I LOVE:
During the summers I spend my time at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires.It is a Conservative Jewish sleep-a-way camp in Wingdale, NY. I have been there for the past 12 summers. Out to Shayna, Frann, Rachel, and Gesher '96. I took a break summer 1997 to go on USY Poland Seminar/Israel Pilgrimage...shot out to group 6 '97 (so many memories to last a lifetime). After my leave of absence, I returned be a counselor in Nitzanim, A-9...shot out to my girls and Lauren...playing plus minus plus and dancing to the Lion King.In summer'99 I was a counsler in shorashim(yes i had the same kids again, different bunk) A-15(see section to follow...). My staff was the best: Eric, Russell (sarg), Rich, Dan (psycho), Ami, Roberto, Adam, Dave, Sharon (slash), Abbie, Daliah, Sarah, Ofra, Elana, and Yittie. During December break(98) I went to Chicago for the Weinstein Institue. It is a counsler training semeniar for the Ramah camps. I had a lot of fun, met strange new people, and it was well worth the trip to the windy city. This December break I took another Weinstein Institute trip to ISRAEL. I met the best people: Jodi, Hillel, Snorting Gila, Flow, Yona, Dara and the rest of the group. Pictures will be up shortly. Summer 200 I was a counselor in A-14, Shorashim. My girls were great. Shout to Melissa, great summer great memories. This summer I make the move to b-side where I am a machon counselor. Looking forward to the move and a great summer.

During the year I am at school, SUNY Cortland Living 3rd Floor Shea(98-99)...shot to the girls: Claudia, Jenn, Cheryl, Ame, Vanessa, MaryAnn, Julie, Megan, Tammy, Heather my roomie, and Sheryl. Also living 3rd floor Hayes(99-00). My staff: Abbie-Fran, Josh, Sam, Jen, Sara, Jeannie(JP), Adam, Bill, Tom, Heather, and Joel. My girls: Rachel A., Rachel K., Allison, Heidi Ho, Debbie, Cris, Leslie, Kristin, Jen H.and all the rest of you loud mouths. This past fall semester the most amazing thing happened to me, my sorority...Nu Sigma Chi, Zeta Gamma class...more to follow on them, with pictures soon. Anyway back to me...My big intrest in high school was USY (United Synagogue Youth). I was a proud member of the Mighty METNY region and the Chazak division. I was chapter President of the Bellmore Jewish Center for 2 years. I drove every where and back to see my friends. I had so much fun getting lost, cause thats what I do best. Wanted to say hi to Dana, Dara, Frann, Josh, Ami, Rachel G., Scott, Andrea, Sarah, Rachel A., Jason, Becky, Debbie, Seth, Larry, Dani, Mike, and anyone else who I can't remember.

In 1998, I graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, N.Y. Now those were some interesting times. Nothing like cutting classes, getting lost on my way back from lunch, forging my parents signatures, sleeping late, thinking dunkin donuts was my classroom, not being able to park in the lot, running cars over, and just over all messing around.
