DESCENDANTS OF NICHOLAS SNOW

NICHOLAS SNOW may be the son of Nicholas Snow who was christened at St. Leonard’s Shoreditch in London England 25 Jan 1599 and died at Plymouth Colony Massachusetts after 14 November 1676.  Nicholas arrived at Plymouth in 1623 aboard the ship ANNE.  Sometime between his arrival and 1627, he married CONSTANCE HOPKINS bp 11 May 1606 Hursley England; died 15 Oct 1677 at Eastham MA; daughter of Stephen Hopkins.  Constance came with her family aboard the Mayflower in 1620.

Nicholas received a share of land at Plymouth in 1624 and became a man of note and good reputation in this growing colony.  In April of 1644, he and six other prominent men of Plymouth began the settlement of Eastham on Cape Cod.  There he became a large landowner and these holdings passed to his sons upon his death.  He left a will dated 14 Nov 1676 and Administration was granted 16 Mar 1676/7.
