DESCENDANTS OF JOHN STOUT
In the Nottinghamshire Parish Records, it is recorded that JOHN STOUT
married 13 Nov 1609 ELSBETH KEE/BEE at Burton Joyce Parish in England.
There is controversy concerning the maiden name of Elsbeth due to
interpretation of early script; many interpretations use the name
"Bee."
SECOND GENERATION
Children of JOHN STOUT and ELSBETH KEE/BEE:

PENELOPE
(unknown), birth and death dates subject to much speculation; may be
widow of (unknown) Van
Princin. Legends state that Richard
either ran away from home or was impressed into the British navy for
seven years. At New Amsterdam, he left the ship and became a
subject of the Netherlands. By 1643, he was a landowner at
Gravesend LI NY. In 1664 he with a group of others was granted a
patent to a large section of East Jersey which was in the vicinity of
Middletown in now Monmouth County. Richard left a will dated 9
June 1703 which was proved in New Jersey at Perth Amboy 23 Oct 1705.
The dates attributed to Penelope have been controversial but the story
concerning her "legendary" shipwreck at Sandy Hook and subsequent
capture by Indians have been mostly accepted by historians. She may or
may not have lived for the remarkable feat of 110 years.
