The author Born in Lahore, the author was awarded a Ph.D by the University of Southampton and is presently teaching mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He has been a consultant to the UK Atomic Energy Research Establishment and is author of numerous publications in the fields of mathematical nuclear physics and solid state physics. Dr.Rahman is a Chartered Physicist, a Member of the London Mathematical Society of Arts, London. In 1975, he received the Dictionary of International Biography's Certificate of Merit, and in 1994, Dr.Rahman was made by special invitation an International Member of the American Association of the Advancement of Science.
