New Irish Music is bringing Irish bands to the attention of the record industry in the USA.

Irish bands based in Ireland have difficulty getting a fair hearing in the USA. This problem is partly geographical, partly due to the dependence of Irish subsidiaries of multinational record labels on their UK offices. New Irish Music is trying to bypass this bottleneck.

 

Our approach is multifaceted. As examples, we issue a periodical promotional CD sampler to record industry personnel. We promote visiting Irish bands showcasing in the USA. We supply sampler CDs to the Irish film industry. We help to promote Irish acts based in the USA. And we do this without asking bands for any committment whatsoever.
