After the riot, Adebisi was placed in solitary confinement with the rest of the riot leaders. Adebisi's stay in solitary was anything but pleasant as he was going through withdrawal. After getting out of solitary and everything was back to "normal" in Oz, McManus instituted a GED learning program, and one of his students was Kenny Wangler. Adebisi was not in favor of Wangler's choice to further his education as he saw Wangler as a sell-out. Adebisi also had problems with The Wiseguys since O'Reily gave him up as the murderer of Nino Schibetta. There was a lot of tension in the kitchen between The Wiseguys and The Gangstas. During one of Adebisi's sarcastic pleas for peace, Peter Schibetta asked Adebisi for a chocolate bar, which Adebisi laced with arsenic. Schibetta was rushed to the hospital throwing up blood. Fearing that he was going to be kicked out of The Family, Schibetta tried one more desperate attempt to kill Adebisi. Schibetta's plan did not go as planned as he and Chuck Pancamo both got beaten badly, and Peter was brutally raped by Adebisi. Upon his arrival to Oz, Antonio Nappa had Lenny Burrano orchestrate a "random" drug test to get Adebisi caught and sent to drug counseling. Adebisi knew Nappa was behind this and was about to go kill The Wiseguys in the kitchen but he was stopped by Kip Kemy Jara. Adebisi asked Kip Kemy "Who are you?" to which Jara replied "Who are you? What have they turned you into?". Adebisi began having hallucinations. Adebisi started doing nothing but laying in bed all day which angered the rest of The Gangstas. The Wiseguys stole an entire shipment of drugs from The Gangstas. Wangler and the rest of The Gangstas were highly angered by this, but their leader Adebisi would't do anything. Adebisi met up with Jara in the library. Jara was a "fetisher"- he could see the future in his sea shells. Jara and Adebisi came from the same tribe in Africa. Jara told Adebisi that he must change his ways, he must stop the drugs and the violence, he has lost his sense of home. Adebisi reported back to Sister Peter Marie with the news that he's done with drugs and he never felt better in his life. The Wiseguys called a truce with The Gangstas, and as a sign of good faith, The Wiseguys told The Gangstas to kill Kip Kemy Jara. Adebisi allowed Jara work in the kitchen with him. While Adebisi is at the other side of the kitchen, Wangler stabbed Jara in the back with a knife. Adebisi laid near Jara's dead body and heard drums playing. Adebisi stripped down and began doing a tribal dance. Adebisi was placed into the mental ward at Oz.

Sister Marie gradually lowered the strength of Adebisi's medication and he showed no signs of mental illness or violence (he even helped Peter Schibetta after he was attacked by another inmate) so he was put back into Em City after he apologized to McManus. Adebisi said he would apologize to everybody he hurt and forgive eveybody who hurt him. Adebisi went to Nappa and said that Jara had him living backwards, and in a way he's happy that Jara isn't around. Adebisi actually still misses Jara and has to hold himself back from getting revenge on Wangler everytime he sees him in the kitchen. Adebisi asked to be put to work in the AIDS ward so he can learn more about the disease that is so seriously affecting his home of Africa. Adebisi obviously had alterior motives for working in the AIDS ward;he took some blood from a patient and stuck Nappa with the needle as he passed him. Nappa said "Ow! Adebis you pinch me?" and Adebisi replied "No boss" and held up his comb to make Nappa think it was the comb that pricked him. Antonio Nappa eventually came down with HIV and was moved into the AIDS ward. Nappa's cellmate Nat Ginzburg was payed to kill Nappa by the request of Chucky Pancamo to stop Nappa's memoirs from being published which would bring the whole mafia down. Adebisi then went back to his old look and assumed control of The Gangstas again. Adebisi accused McManus of sexually harrassing Kenny Wangler and brought in reporters to cover this story.

Adebisi's plan would culminate in Season 4 Part 1 when a black man assumed control of Emerald City after Tim McManus was fired after having somewhat of a mental breakdown after the 2 sexual harrassment suits and his girlfriend leaving him. The new man in charge of Em City -Querns let Adebisi run everything as long as there was no violence. Adebisi and Querns had almost every non-black prisoner tranfered out of Em City, and every non-black C.O tranfered out of Em City. Adebisi had everything he wanted, liquor, drugs, a video camera to record all his crazy pod parties and a curtain across his cell to conceal his acts. Soon Adebisi's empire would crumble as Ryan O'Reily and Chris Keller killed 2 inmates and framed Supreme Allah. This upset Querns because it was th end of the no violence streak and it brought attention to his now infamous all back cell block. Kareem Said devised a plan along with McManus to bring Adebisi down. Said found out about Adebisi's tapes and brought one to McManus to show the Warden. After seeing what Adebisi was allowed to get away with in his pod, Querns was fired and Tim McManus regained control of Em City. McManus got of the PA system and announced the prisoners getting transfered t Gen-Pop and the 1st name on the list was Simon Adebisi. Adebisi was enraged that Said has used the tape against him and slashed his face. Adebisi then went to stab Said, but Said blocked and was able to wrestle the knife away and kill Adebisi and thus end the reign of one of Oz's most powerful man.
