New York Hardcore/Punk Power Trio. Subterfuge has a new fresh take on Punk and Hardcore.

They are playing under BPI Media, but are still looking to be signed under a an indie label.

This Tallented young three-piece band has gained the attention of punk and hardcore fans around the New York area with their obnoxious, hard-driving observations of social disfunctions.

Subterfuge has been together for little under a yearand have already headlined such venues as New York City's CBGB and Long Island's infamous Dr. Shay's.

The band consists of John Moore, Chris Mazella and Rick Jiminez. John takes the front line with an almost melodic style of playing. Chris is up front with his vocals and his unique style of guitar playing, which exeplifies the best of punk and hardcore. Rick, who is a proud member of the Smithtown Punk Comittee, is always right on time with his aggressive style of percussion and angst filled vocals.

Subterfuge was formed in early when Jogn introduced Rick and Chris to each other. They had an impromptu jam and have been together ever since that special day.

Subterfuge confesses to be influenced by many bands including Minor Threat, The Zygots, and Slayer.

The band just finished up their first demo, "The Masked Assasin", which was recorded in Boz Studio in New York. These three fine young punks will be hitting the road in the summer of '98 to tour nationally in support of their new record.
