introducing Canada's own....
well, I could go on forever tauting just how the Kids In The Hall helped shape sketch comedy into what it is today.
Their characters were more developed and more complex than anyone had seen before their time....yes, it is true that they did have a certain "Monty-Python-esque", but only in the sence that they would often take a comedy thread and divert from its origin so that the audience would often be suprised at the ending. And their topics did range from the sublime to the bizarre, but that is where the similarity ends. And the similarity only works in theory anyway...the KITH were very much their own identity....and they still are.
Their most famous trademark was the fact that they assumed all of the female rolls in their sketches- meaning that they often were drag.
Another tradmark was the fact that they often covered material that would have been considered "controversial", such as homosexuality. And they didnt mock this (Scott Thompson is gay...), unless it was to point out peoples ignorance by making a sketch "over dramatise" the issue.
Well, enough of my yappin'- you know what their about, if you didnt you wouldnt be here......besides, that chicken is pecking at my feet again-DAMN!
SOUNDS take what you want.......
some of the files require you to have "real audio", if you dont, you can download the playerhere!
