Throttle Body Coolant Bypass

During normal driving a small amount of coolant flows through the throttle body. That coolant heats up the air going into the motor and reduces power. The following directions will explain how to bypass the coolant

Remove the intake bellows, and intake tube. Remove rear alternator brace. You will see 1 coolant line running from the radiator to the drivers side of the TB. Remove the line from the TB. Be sure to have a rag to catch any coolant that drips out. On the passengers side of the TB there are 3 coolant lines. The bottom one looks like and "L" and goes form the TB to the intake manifold. Remove that line from both ends, and save it incase you ever want to undo this mod. Pull the drivers sdie line over and attach it to the intake manifold where you just removed the "L". Make sure that the lines are clear of all belts. Reattach the Alternator brace, and intake system and start the car. Go for a drive to get the coolant flowing, then check for leaks.

Thats it!!
You just made 6.3 peak hp and 7.1 peak ft/lbs, with average gains of 5.6hp and 6.8ft/lbs!
That was easy power, huh?

Below is Keith Lockliear's dyno graph of this mod.
He first tested his WS6 with the coolant running throught the TB. Then he ran it with the coolant bypassed and the TB cool as it is when you first start the car. And last he ran the car with the coolant bypassed and the Throttle body heat soaked at normal operating temperature.
