All This

3-20-99

The new day dawns
I rise; I fall
A smile from a friend
Greets me as our day begins.
She cares for me, so dear
All this with my stupidity and fear

Minutes, hours pass me by
And still they’d hate
To see me cry
Supporters ‘til parting ends
They hold me dear
All this with my folly and fear

Red flashes past my eyes
Blue blood, and my tears run dry
A helping hand. The inspiration from
An accomplice and still a dear
All this with my slow wit and fear.

And like the fool
I rock the boat
Words thrown out with unbalanced water
Still I see the smile; a familiar face so dear
All this with my imbecility and fear

I lost my love
My confidants; confidence; my friendship
But still I feel their caring arms
A book of diligence and thoughtfulness held dear
All this with my simplicity and fear

They worry; they fear
I cry; I foam
Touch me once, shudder
Again; no hesitation, but good intention
I feel the love that is blind, but dear
All this with my madness and fear

Anger rages black as coal
Throws them all away and their love
Do not touch me
It only hurts me, you
This is my insanity
