Dear Student:
In this unit, we will read and study The Master Builder by Ibsen . You are required to read 10 pages of the play each night at home before we read it aloud in the class. After each lesson, there is a written homework assignment which is due the next day if the date is not specified. There is a journal prompt in each lesson, therefore, you will have ten journal entries at the end of this unit.
After reading the play, we will practice the four ELA Regents tasks developed according to the realated themes in the play. You will also be required to do an artistic project based on the play. For students who have talents in singing or acting, you may present an oral presentation piece for the play, but this is optional.
When all the unit projects are finished, you will choose your best work from this unit and publish them on your web site.

Good Luck and Enjoy Learning and Exploring!

Ms. Wu
