Sandalwood Incense

This is a traditional Saudi Incense Burner. It is found in most Saudi homes. Note that it is not stick incense, but it is actual Sandalwood. A lump of charcoal is burning and the wood is placed on top of it. Frankincense and myrrh are also burned in their crystal form. When I was there I purchased these items from the Camel Caravans that still make their yearly trek following the old trade routes.
