In Honor & Memory Of My Father
CHARLES HENRY EDWIN
HOAD
1920 - 1999
THIS IS GIVEN IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY FATHER CHARLEY WHO TOOK SUCH GREAT CARE OF MY MOTHER UNTIL HIS DEMISE. MY MOTHER CATHERINE HAS ALZHIEMER.S NOW FOR 6 YEARS. BECAUSE OF DAD'S UNEXPECTED DEATH I THEIR DAUGHTER HAD TO PLACE HER IN A GREAT NURSING HOME CLOSE TO ME. I FOUND IF VERY DIFFICULT TO TAKE CARE OF HER AFTER DAD'S DEATH AS SHE DEGENERATED SO RAPIDLY AND I WAS NOT EQUIPED MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION. MOTHER LOVED DAD SO VERY MUCH AND THEY HAD 56 YEARS OF GOOD MARRIAGE TOGETHER. I PROMISED DAD TO DO MY BEST IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO HIM. HE PASSED AWAY WITH A CRANIAL HEMORRHAGE OUTSIDE THE BRAIN AND WAS GONE VERY QUICKLY AND WITH LITTLE PAIN. I MISS HIM SO MUCH, HAVE SHED MANY TEARS AND WILL DO SO FOR SOME TIME TO COME. MOTHER HAS NO RECALL OF HIS DEATH OR FUNERAL AND WANTS TO KNOW WHEN HE WILL COME AND GET HER. EVERYDAY IS A DIFFERENT CHALLENGE TO SEE HER AND I SEE HER FADING IN FRONT OF ME. I LOVED BOTH MY PARENTS VERY MUCH AND FELT MY DAD DESERVED TO BE PUT IN HERE FOR JUST BEING MOM'S CAREGIVER FOR SO MANY YEARS. LOVING THEM ALWAYS............

Margaret P. Wilson
To my mother and my father's wife, Margaret P. Wilson. You have been there alone many times. I can hear the frustration in your voice from four states away but also the love you have for Dad. I could not ask for anyone more dedicated, more loving, more caring, or more honest to care for Dad. You hang in there day after day through the few highs and many lows of his disease. He would want me to tell you how much he loves you. He would want me to tell you how much he appreciates all that you do for him every day even when you don't think you can handle any more. He would want me to tell you that you are a great wife and mother. He would want me to tell you that you help make his life a lot better. He would want me to tell you that he loves you. Thank you Mom for EVERYTHING. I love you, Sissy

I would like to tribute my mom - Dorothy Williams of Atlanta Georgia who cared for my grandmother over several years. Being an only child and eventually retiring from work to care for her with the support of her 4 kids and my father as well.

You are truly an amazing, amazing man. You have left us kids with quite a legacy of love. You have shown unconditional love in caring for mom when she can't say thanks or love you back. Your love for her shines through in the way you care for her. Only God could have given you this strength. On behalf of all of us, thanks dad! Love, Diane
