Jeff and Matt Hardy are brothers from Cameron, N.C. They've wrestled in numerous independents including Omega, New Frontier, ECWF, NCW, CWF, Smokey Mountain and Southern Championship Wrestling, where they are ranked #2 in the tag division.

In the independents, Jeff often goes by the name "Wolverine" and Matt uses "Surge". They also wrestle in the WWF where they use their real names.

Matt has held many of the titles in the independent federations and with Jeff he has held even more tag titles. His signature move is the "megahurtz" spring board moonsault. He is 6'1", 234 lbs., born 1974, made his pro debut in 1993 and is currently ranked #208 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's top 500. He was ranked # 435 in 1997 under the name "Surge".

Jeff is 6', 212 lbs., born August 31st, 1977. He made his pro debut in 1993.

In the summer of 1998, the Boyz took part in WWF's "Funkin' Dojo" camp, run by Dory Funk and Tom Pritchard. They had trained themselves in the spring of 1990 and had been working as extras in the WWF prior to their involvement in the camp. While they strived to make it in the wrestling world early on in their careers, they took up other jobs to earn a living. Jeff worked landscaping jobs and Matt designed and created wrestling attire for other wrestlers.

Jeff and Matt recently appeared on the sitcom "That 70's Show" in which they wrestled each other and Matt won. With their new training and more mainstream exposure, the Hardy Boyz will rise to the top of the tag team competition.
