Amy Becker
"Wrecker Becker"

New York Enforcers
5'3"    125 lbs.
Birthday:  February 21, 1965

"You can tell I'm having a good time!"

Amy got her nickname from her former co-workers. "When everyone heard I was doing this, they started calling me 'Wrecker Becker.' I was a human resources representative at a sportsplex, and I'd be walking down the hall and people would just walk up and block me! You're not prepared for that at another job!"

But Amy was prepared for that in RollerJam. She started skating at roller rinks as a kid and eventually got into speed skating. She was in a race at Disney Celebration and got third overall in a 10k, but mostly she just skates for fun. "I chase bikers, just pick people out on the trail and try to keep up or pass them or see if they can catch me."

Amy loves to play all kinds of sports, but she is not a spectator. "There are five kids in my family, and when football games were going on, we were usually out in the front yard. I have two brothers and two sisters, and I have a stepbrother. I am the fourth child, and I have two older brothers. We didn't play flag football when we were kids; it was all tackle. So growing up you had to learn to defend yourself. We had our own boxing gloves; we would box, we would play football and all kinds of sports. Sports have always been a part of my life." And it seems sports always will be. Her degree is in recreation, with a minor in coaching.

"My younger sister was the cheerleader, the prom queen," Amy says. "She had everything all girls wanted to get, where I was the athlete, where everything involved sports. That was the thing for me in college, there were sports I had never heard of and I played them anyway!"

Amy is the pitcher on a softball team that plays year-round, plays coed flag football, ran track and played basketball in high school, and she also enjoys water skiing and off-road biking. "Out of all the sports I've done, skating is the most enjoyable to me."

"This wasn't something I thought I'd ever do. I like the track, it's fun. And yes, it's dangerous. I've gotten more bruises in this sport than any other sport I've ever done. But I enjoy it, it's definitely kept me in shape, it's definitely fun to do!"

Amy's biggest fan, no matter what sport she's playing, is her 9-year-old daughter Loren. "She thinks this is the coolest thing. She brags about this all the time! She has been with me in most of my sports, when I go play football or softball, she's usually there. She's kind of like the cheerleader of the team. I'm a single mother, and she's what keeps me going!"

Amy likes the physical aspect of RollerJam. "Oh, we like to bash them up! That's the fun thing about it, that you actually get to push on people, hit on people, and that's part of the sport, that's part of the game. You get away with it, you get to pass them, you get to use your different skills." But Amy says she can't get too carried away. "I have to remember I have an 9-year-old at home, so I'm not going to do anything that's going to put me in serious danger. A funny thing my grandmother said was, 'I wish you'd take up something more feminine like crocheting!'"

Amy says she is happy to be playing for Texas. "Half my family lives in Texas. My mother runs her own retail store in Wimberly, Texas called Betsy's Hangar. My sister has an organic farm, just outside of Wimberly, and my other sister lives in Houston. So I've got some support over there, and that's been important to me. I've always lived in the South and enjoyed it."

Heather Gunnin
"The Gun"

New York Enforcers
5'4"   120 lbs.
Birthday: January 28, 1977

Heather Gunnin was born to skate. Literally. She strapped on her first pair of roller skates at the age of two and was in competitive events at the age of five. She has competed nationally in the sport of speed skating for over sixteen years, and her skating career has taken her around the world as a three-time member of the U.S. World Team.

Her career highlights have included over 30 national titles (division and relay), three Pan Am Championships gold medals in Ecuador, winning the U.S. Pro Criterium in Downer's Grove and two appearances in the World Championships of speedskating.

Her RollerJam "bad girl" persona is in direct contrast to her professional career, where she has been a top sponsored skater and spokesperson for elite skate companies such as Terminator Bearings, Hyper Wheels and Rollerblade, Inc. Heather says that "being sponsored has given me the opportunity to learn the business side of skating, conduct clinics and work with younger skaters who represent the future of the sport."

RollerJam has interested Heather because it allows her to "get some frustrations out. The show is a lot of fun, it's entertainment. But I'm really not at all like the person you'll see on TV," she said. "I'm a very nice person. I just choose not to take any crap from anybody. On or off of the track."

Her personal interests include cycling, short-track ice speed skating, country music, Winnie the Pooh, Chinese food and a secret passion to some day be a firefighter.

The Miami-born Gunnin was originally supposed to play for the Florida Sundogs but asked to be traded to the New York Enforcers, where she feels right at home with her teammates. "It is going to be a fun season, and all of those other teams better look out. Speed skating has taught me how to take some punishment, and now with the Enforcers I finally get to dish it out!"

The Gun is certainly loaded and ready for battle!

Heather Gunnin recently broke both bones in her lower left leg on May 10, 1999 in a traffic accident with Jon Elliot more info is my newspage of the enforcers!

And also got a breast job done during her leg heal up Great job by her doctor!

Kathryn Cicchini

New York Enforcers
5'6.5"     130 lbs.
Birthday: February 18, 1969

Kathy developed her love for skating when she was about five years old, and has been involved in the sport ever since! But skating isn't the only sport that keeps her busy. Softball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, biking and weight lifting are also among her favorite pastimes. And don't forget track! Kathy ran track for 12 years, doing the 400, 200, 1-mile relay, 200-relay and the high jump. This all started back in 5th grade and lasted through her first year in college. During her first year on the team in high school she lettered twice and took home 13 medals.

Now it's time for a new sport -- RollerJam! "I love to skate, I love to try new things," she says when asked why she decided to hit the banked track. It was a fellow RollerJam skater who got her interested in the sport, and after checking it out on the internet, she decided to follow up on it.

Kathy says her sports background has helped with RollerJam. Her blocking skills come from basketball and her control of the track comes from weight lifting.

Once taking on a few odd jobs like pool cleaning (a job that only lasted three weeks) and hanging dry wall, she's now a Criminology major in college.

She says she has two tattoos: the sun on her back, and a sun bracelet on her ankle.

One more thing ... "Once in a while I do front handsprings down the street, when I get crazy!"

Siana Brown

New York Enforcers
5'9"   150 lbs.
Birthday: September 16, 1976

Siana first started skating when she was 6 years old, and took up speed skating when she was 10. Every year she went to Nationals in one division or another, and won her division on quads in 1994. She also went to an Olympic festival.

You might notice that Siana looks a bit like another RollerJam skater, Shay Brown of the Nevada Hot Dice. Shay is Siana's younger sister. "We fought as kids, like her taking my clothes; she always tattletaled."

Siana says she didn't watch RollerJam until Shay came on. "But I love it! I love the fans!"

She loves it enough to put off college for the game. "I would have graduated in December. I'm studying accounting. I thought I wanted to be a CPA, but now everything's changed since I came here. I really want to sing in a swing band! I can sing pretty well, mostly country. It's easiest. I've sang at weddings and sang chorus in high school."

Siana has a tattoo of a flower on her back.

Siana skated 2 games with the Nevada Hot Dice til she got fed up with Mark Weber's actions got traded to the Enforcers for Courtney Barlow!

Telisa Miller

New York Enforcers
5'6"   140 lbs.
Birthday: December 28, 1971

"My mom said that if anybody was born to do RollerJam, it was ME!"

That's because Telisa grew up skating with the boys. She strapped on her first pair of skates at four years old in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Soon she was racing around the rink in speed skating, winning Regionals in 1991-'94, Junior Olympic Nationals in '93, and she went to Nationals in '94.

But hockey was her true love when it came to skating. Telisa took up indoor hockey, the only girl on a men's roller-hockey team. Did they treat her any differently? "Oh yeah, they beat the #$% out of me! But if another guy on the other team would come up and pick on me, Mark (Weber of the Nevada Hot Dice) or one of my other teammates would come up and gang up on them!"

That sure doesn't mean that Telisa can't defend herself! She says that playing on a men's team helps her with RollerJam. "I'm a lot harder, I'm a lot tougher than everybody else. I take falls, and I just get up like it was nothing. I'm used to getting smashed into the boards!"

In high school, Telisa lettered in volleyball, basketball and softball. Her senior year she quit those for skating because she was going up on the national level at the time. After speed skating, Telisa played on a women's semi-pro ice hockey team.

Back home, she has a dog Sadie, a cocker spaniel; and fish named Pebbles, Barney, Wilma and Betty. She also has a younger brother and sister who are RollerJam fans. "They love it, my whole family loves it!"

What does Telisa like about RollerJam? "I like the contact. I'm an aggressive skater. It's fast-paced!"

Besides watching for her leg tattoo and eyebrow piercing, be sure to watch for some special moves that are a sure crowd-pleaser!

Watch for her new move "The Rack" Where she hoists a jammer on her shoulders and plows them down on the track!

Brooke Sunderman

New York Enforcers #11
5'2"     130 lbs.
Birthday:  August 24, 1976

Brooke's a hockey freak.

She did the speed skating thing for about 2½ years, but it was roller hockey and ice hockey that grabbed her attention most. And she'd rather play against the boys. "Back home I've always played with guys. And then I came down here and it was the first time I've actually played with a couple of other girls. And then I got introduced to a girls' hockey team that I played for last year. And now I'm back to kind of playing with the guys." Brooke doesn't want to be treated like some breakable Barbie Doll. "Guys are more physical. Some of the time some of the guys will be real nice, they won't hit you."

Brooke only has one complaint about her hockey teammates who call her "Little Foot," because of her small shoe size. "They all want to hang my skates on their rear-view mirrors. They're all trying to steal my shoes!"

Her pet cat, a calico named Soco, is described as "a wild child." Perhaps Brooke is too. She wants to get a tattoo on her lower back and wants to get her tongue pierced again. "I had it pierced but I took it out because it was in wrong." You might wonder if tongue piercings get annoying. "This one did because when I lay down, the ball of it was pushing against my teeth where it shouldn't have been."

In high school Brooke ran cross country and track. She now enjoys volleyball, water skiing and snow skiing. She's a licensed massage therapist, which makes her popular among her RollerJam teammates! But that won't stop her from inflicting pain on others. "I like to block more than anything," she says, and she gets her thrills out of knocking down her opponents.

Brooke used to skate on the same team as her sister Heather. "I like having her on my team. It's a sister thing. A family thing. It's cool watching out for each other." And Brooke promises that anyone who goes after one sister will have to contend with the other one too!
Brooke was on the Quakes for 2 seasons before being in enforcer black!
