Holy Frak... how long has it been since I updated this damn page? Too, too long apparently. Gomen, everybody. RL has been kicking my tail around for the past few months and I've barely had a chance to breathe, let alone update. Thank the Gods for LiveJournal, otherwise all of my friends would think that I just dropped off the face of the universe.
Well, I'm in the home stretch before my trip to Japan. All of my reservations are set and pretty much the only thing I really have to do is buy my train pass before I go. Will probably just take a Friday off from work one of these days and take a run to one of the offices where I can pick it up. It's not cheap, but it's a heck of a lot more cost effective than just buying individual train tickets, especially given the way I'm going to be running around the length and breadth of the country.
Work has been astonishingly busy. Got a promotion this spring so my new position includes a new title, a nifty raise and a hell of a lot more responsibility. Keep hearing from my old office how much they miss me, which is kind of nice for the ego. My old boss had her annual beach party this July and it was nice to catch up with everybody. But I do enjoy my new job and I love the people I work with. No slackers in this bunch.
I know that this site needs a major overhaul but I just don't see that happening until after October when I get back from my trip. Am hoping now that I am settled in the new position that I can devote a little more time to writing than I have in the past year or so. There are lots of snippets cluttering my hard drive in several genres, mostly anime, that have the potential to evolve into real gosh darn stories. If I have the time to actually focus on them.
In the meantime, if you want to know what's happening in my life, feel free to brouse my journal. I do tend to update at least every few days so it's much, much more current.
