Disc 3

3.1 The Final Confrontation Fly North, and land in the crater. It is tough to find your way through the first parts of the crater, especially with all the tough creatures roaming the area. You'll have to explore the area well, to make sure you get all of the valuable items here. There are no save points inside the crater, but you can get a save crystal, which allows you to set up a save point anywhere in the crater, but you'll want to save that until right before you enter the center. After you find your way through all of the passageways and  cliffs, you will be forced to split your group into two parties. Only the characters you send down the same path you go down will be able to join you in the end. Don't worry too much about your choices of paths. If you're a smart gamer you'll probably end up going down both paths eventually anyway...

3.2 The Right Path This is the shorter and easier path, there are some useful items to find, and you can avoid many of the "sudden death" enemies that can be found on the other side...

3.3 The Left Path This is a tougher path, but is much more rewarding if you use it correctly. There are many more items here, but there are also some extremely tough enemies, like the legendary Master Tonberry. To get the Mega-All materia, you must press the O button immediately after Cloud jumps to the middle "island." If you don't he will jump right past it and will miss it alltogether...

3.4 The Promised Land Here you are, the center of the crater, Sephiroth's "Promised Land." Be sure to save close near here. This is a good place to pace the Save Crystal. Gather your party, and head down into the crater. Jump from rock to rock in front of the Mako green background, fighting the enemies as they come. When you get to the largest of the rocks in the center, you will take on the final form of Jenova, Jenova-SYNTHESIS. After defeating her, you will drop deeper into the center of the earth where Sephiroth and the rest of your teammates wait. Coming from the bright red rock you can see the glow of Aeris's Holy Summon,  trapped by the strength of Sephiroth and the rock. Finally, you will fight Sephiroth in his first form, Bizzarro- Sephiroth, and then the One Winged Angel...
