Thank you for visiting my "UPDATES PAGE" at Angelfire. My manager, Nancy and I took an opportunity to attend the Native American Music Awards (N.A.M.A.)last year in Alburquerque, New Mexico where I had the pleasure to meet and talk with some of the most talented and diverse Native performers in Indian Country. The photo above was taken at the events VIP post party. Nancy and I took a moment to chat and congradulate Rita Coolidge on her "Life Acheivement Award. I also had a featured interview in the Winter 2000/2001 issue of "American Indian Review Magazine". This interview is called "Howard Lyons Blazes his own Trail" and took place in November 2000. The interview covers various aspects of my music career. I speak about the struggles and achievments, and give special acknowledgements to my Iroquois Elders for their perserverance and support. This magazine is circulated in 12 different countries. Thank you Nancy Cruger for this rare and thought provoking Interview!

Most recently,I am on my way towards recording a new record under the SOAR label with multi award winning producer Brandon Friesen. A three week record session begAns on May 16 in Winnipeg Canada at Studio 11. My new record "Spirit Walk" On the SOAR Record label is in the final round for a 2002 GRAMMY nominamtion. Also, I have recently been awarded and chosen by the Pentagle council on the Arts and the New England Arts Congress to represent the state of New Hampshire. On May 5th I will showcase in Woodstock, VT. among other very talented performers to represent each of the other five New England states. www.artistcongress.org

Finally, I finally managed to establish my own idependent record label called SkyDome Records, Inc. nestled in the beautiful White Mountains Region of New Hampshire. My 32 track studio allows me to produce and record my own compositions as well as other musicain's record projects. My self produced 10 song CD record "Hopes & Dreams" released under my own label "SkyDome Records" was nominated for "Best Folk Recording" by the Native American Music Awards last October.
