Hello, I'm Michelle Mills Faison, a professional artist and published book illustrator who has devoted my career to painting realistic, watercolor portraits of people, homes and pets throughout the United States and Europe. I received my degree in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in New York City. My studio is in Detroit, in a wonderful enclave of historic homes known as Indian Village.

I have prices to suit every budget. I truly believe that everyone should be able to afford an original painting.

Prices begin at $250 and include a neutral colored mat. Sizes range from a 3 x 5 inches to 24 x 36 inches.

For house or business portraits, all I need are clear, color or black and white photos taken from your favorite angle. Houses look best photographed on a sunny day. You can send photos via email, CD or snailmail.

Please be sure to include the entire building in the shot. Detailed closeups are also very helpful. I can change the season, add your favorite garden flowers or eliminate anything you don't like about the photo.

For people and pet portraits, Please send a large, clear color photo. Photos should be taken in natural light, indoors or out.

Notecard and invitations can also be printed from the original art work for an additional charge. Please email me for details.

Michigan residents must add an additional 6% sales tax. Paintings are matted (a mat will add about two inches to each side of the painting) and ready for framing. Shipping (via USPS Priority or Express Mail) generally runs an additional $10 to $15. A deposit of 50%, payable by check, money order or PayPal, is due with your order. Paintings take from 2 to 4 months.
