Support freedom

Founded in 1970, The Islip Horsemen's Association is open to all horsemen and horsewomen and their families, not just residents of Islip township. The intent of this club is to be involved in community affairs that may effect horse ownership, to educate horse owners and horse lovers, to sponsor horse shows, and just have fun! Monthly meetings which are open to all are held on the fourth tuesday of each month. Each month we try to have a guest speaker on horse related topics. Our great monthly newsletter, IHA NEWS, contains articles, letters, artwork and information on upcoming events and meetings. The club has its own drill team called "The Spirit of Long Island Mounted Drill Team", which performs for the public several times a year and are the public relations team for our club. There are also many parades on Long Island that our club is invited to ride in. The club also schedules and organizes special events, clinics , trips, parties and our November Awards Dinner Dance. Anyone who would like to be put on our mailing list for English Western, Dressage or Gymkhana shows or who would like to become a member can email us. Come back often!
Please sign our guest book. Sorry, due to an inappropriate website listing in the guestbook, I have deleted the entire book. If you have comments on this website, please email me directly at IHAROSE@aol.com

If you have anything for the newsletter, Lissa has an email addy, Brandynews@optonline.net

Islip Horsemen's Association

Wanderings Horse Country Trained With Kindness award, not just for the IHA website, but also for any member of IHA that would care to display it in their own websites. Such devotion needs to be recognized, and this particular award has never before gone to an entire organization, you're the first and hopefully not the last. There are two copies of this award below, one for IHA and one for any/each/all your members.
