There are hundreds of ways to reveal a card selected by the spectator. The method I'm about to reveal is to the best of my knowledge is totally new, due to the way that cards are made. Not all decks will work as I've found out, no gimmicks are used like a small bubble dot glued on the corner of a card, small pieces of card glued on one corner etc., these methods require careful positioning to the selected card. Once the selected card is in the deck approx. in the middle, grip the cards between your thumb and second fingers as shown in Fig. 1 and squeeze the deck as shown. The cards will spring out from your fingertips and spin around as shown in Fig. 2, now you will be able to spot the position of the selected card. How you ask?

When I do the effect I try to condition the spectator with patter about half topics. If the deck looks split in half the spectator will pick the card at the break and be surprised it is his card, the impact is unbelievable.

Once again I use the BREATHER CARD. The secret lies in the fact that the deck must be new and perfectly flat. When the cards are squeezed and they spin out a break will form at the breather card. The top portion will stay nested together and slightly tip you off the position of the selected card.

A slight break forms at the breather (above). The display in Fig. 2 is shown as suggested. Actually done the break is more pronounced, also notice the cards are a BEE deck. Most decks like Tally-Ho has a sleight crown, trying to flatten then is impossible, there is the problem. The beauty of the effect is that the spin out never looks the same. There you have it.

I have one rule, once you learn how to use the deck in this manner. Never use the deck for other card manipulation, as you will destroy the card's properties and loose the free handling.
