Welcome to the Independent follower. Please be sure to click on the link above to send any results that you may have to contribute. If you are a promoter for an independent promotion in the U.S. and abroad, please feel free to send me a shameless plug containing information about your promotion. If you are an independent wrestler and would like to comment on the website, or send a message to this website's readers, please don't be shy, send the email. How hard is it really?

Note: I will publish any report that is sent to this section. Accuracy could take a hit, so just like the Rants section and the Results section, some entries may not be truthful. Also, (maybe I should have posted this in the first edition) these show recaps and upcoming show reports are not written by myself. They are compiled by internet research, and emails sent to my account. Therefore, any no-shows by wrestlers, or fraudulent promoting by the owners is hereby not my responsibility. If you have been scammed into buying a ticket because you saw that Road Dogg would be appearing, but they offered a sub-par wrestling show instead, let me know so I can put a little fire to the scam-artist's ass.

New England Championship Wrestling: Upcoming Show

New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Friday Night, October 26 with an 8:00 PM bell time, as Budweiser & WBCN present NECW's AUTUMN UNLEASHED!

The main event at press time is scheduled to be a return grudge match for the NECW Heavyweight Championship as "Brutal" Bob Evans has been ordered to put the title on the line against top contender, "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion. However, on September 22 in a match in Agawam, MA, Arion's ankle was broken in a non-title bout with the champion. Arion has vowed to be at the building on October 26, but NECW have announced that Arion cannot compete unless he has a full medical clearance. Will Arion be able to face Evans and go for the title he feels he should be holding? The answers will unfold at AUTUMN UNLEASHED.

In other bouts, NECW's dominant tag team duo, The Egomaniacs (Johnny Idol & Mike Steele) will face perhaps the top tag team in the country that is not signed to major contract, as The Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) make their NECW debut.

There will a special "Triad Match" to determine the new #1 contender for the NECW Heavyweight Championship. Maverick Wild, Zaqary Springate III and "Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. will face off with the winner getting a shot at the gold. The rules are that prior to the event, the names of each participant will be put into a drawing. The winner receives a "bye" and the two remaining contestants will face each other in singles action until there is a winner. Then the victor faces the remaining challenger until one man emerges as the new number one contender.

In a women's match, the popular Latin diva, Mercedes Martinez returns to action in Somerville taking on Trinity H. Campbell. "Heartthrob" Kurt Adonis will square off against Debonair Cruz. "Turbo" Tim Fury returns in a grudge match against "The Ambassador of Style" J. Wood and Tarzan Taylor will be facing a mystery opponent.

Tickets for NECW's AUTUMN UNLEASHED at Good Time Emporium, 30 Assembly Square Drive, Somerville, MA are $12. Kids under 12 and College Students with ID are $7 only at the door. Advance tickets are available through the NECW website at http://www.NECWwrestling.com. Venue information can be had by calling (617) 628-5559.

On Saturday night, November 10, NECW returns to Games & Lanes, 350 Walnut St. Ext., Agawam as Mountain Dew presents NECW's COLD SNAP. Bell time is 7:30 PM.

Full details on the card will be released in the coming weeks, but there will be a double main event in Agawam!

The NECW Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in one half of the main event. Current champion, "Brutal" Bob Evans, is scheduled to defend against "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion, pending medical clearance for Arion. In any case, the title will be defended on Saturday night, November 10th.

The second half of this double main event will be a special tag team challenge match. The Egomaniacs (Johnny Idol & Mike Steele) are out to prove that they are the best tag team on the independent circuit. Their chance to prove it will come at COLD SNAP, as their opponents will be the team called Evolution, consisting of "The Future" Frankie Kazarian and former ECW star Nova, making their New England debut as a tag team. Evolution have held the California-based UPW tag team titles and are considered one of the top independent teams in the country.

More bouts will be announced in the coming weeks for COLD SNAP.

Tickets for NECW's COLD SNAP at Games & Lanes, 350 Walnut Street Ext., Agawam, MA are $12. Kids under 12 and College Students with ID are $7 only at the door. Premiere Wrestling Federation: Results (10-3-01), Upcoming Shows

The Premier Wrestling Federation returned to the Sunnybrook Ballroom Wednesday night, October 3rd, for “An Evening to Remember”.

The Damned defeated The Backseat Boys (w/Donnie B.) and JD Powers & Gino Giovanni to become the number one contenders to the PWF Unified Tag Team title.

Slambo the Clown defeated Norm the Barfly.

Bax retained the PWF Unified Junior Heavyweight title against “The Amazing” Red thanks in part to interference by “The Smooth Criminals”.

Guillotine LeGrande, accompanied by The Fun Athletic Guy, retained the PWF Television Title by disqualification against “Hi Flying” Chris Hamrick, with Selest, when referee John Finnegan caught Hamrick using a chair to execute the Van Terminator.

The Rachies, “Doomsday” Danny Rose and Adam Flash, defeated The SAT to become the new PWF Unified Tag Team champions. Prior to the match The SAT were jumped by “The Smooth Criminals” and laid out in the aisle.

“The Smooth Criminals”, “High Profile” Dylan Night, Ty Street, Candi, and Allison Danger defeated “King of Old School” Steve Corino, Nova, and Psycho Bitch.
As Bax came out to celebrate with his “Smooth Criminal” partners, The Maximos and Red charged the ring and hit the Junior Heavyweight champion with their patented Spanish Fly. As “The Smooth Criminal” regrouped on the outside, Red spring-boarded off of the top rope to the outside with a twisting 360º to wipe out the entire “Criminal” group. Another PWF event had ended, but a new rivalry had just begun.

Upcoming Shows
The PWf returns to the Sunnybrook Ballroom Wednesday night, October 17, with what is arguably the strongest lineup in the promotion's history.

PWF TV TITLE ON THE LINE:

PWF UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
Newly crowned champions The Rachies, "Doomsday" Danny Rose and Adam Flash, defend their straps against the number one contenders, Mad Dog and Draven, collectively known as The Damned.

IN A SIX MAN WAR:
The SATs, Joel & Jose Maximo, along with Red will take on "The Smooth Criminal" team of "High Profile" Dylan Night, Ty Street, and PWF Junior Heavyweight champion Billy Bax. After all that went down between these two factions at "An Evening to Remember", the Sunnybrook Ballroom may not be big enough to contain these six men.

Plus...
Trent Acid with Donnie B will take on the always controversial "Gorgeous" Gino Giovanni, while "Hi Flying" Chris Hamrick w/Selest will be challenged by PWF newcomer J.R. Ryder.

As always tickets are available here at PWFprowrestling.com or by calling 215-793-9797. Ringside seats are limited, so order today!

World Xtreme Wrestling
: United We Stand Results, Upcoming Shows

WXW returned to the WXW Hall for the first time in almost two months for the "United We Stand" show in a night that would see a shocking end to a memorable night.

Afa "the Wild Samoan" and the entire locker room came out where an emotional speech was read about the tragedy that happened on September 11th. After the speech, a ten-bell salute was given and then "God Bless the USA" and the National Anthem were played.

The first match of the night was a 20-man Over-the-Top-Rope Battle Royal where the winner would pick what title he wanted to wrestle for that night. This battle royal had the likes of Moondawgs 2000, Samu, SLG and newcomer Chris Stylz. Stylz was #10, but lasted less than 5 seconds. It came down to Tommy Suede and "Big Poppa" Pete. Suede ran off the ropes and charge at Pete. The clothesline he gave him was with such force that both men went crashing to the floor.

The referees couldn't agree which person won the match so out came Commissioner Lotto Money and declared co-winners with each man picking his title match. Pete said he wanted his shot at "ShowTime" Shane Black because of what happened at Fun Fest and Suede said he was going for the "big prize" and the WXW title from Samu.

The first singles match of the night pitted two graduates of the Wild Samoan Training Center, as it was "Filthy" Phil taking on "Hot Rod" Rodney X. These two men barely got a chance to wrestle each other because out came Supreme Lee Great. SLG took out both men, and Rodney quickly went to the locker room. Phil opted to stay in the ring and SLG took him out. He then grabbed the microphone and says, "no one respects" him and he is going out to "find his smile". Phil, even with the beating he got from SLG, was able to walk on his own back to the locker room.

WXW Hardcore Title Match: "Xtreme" Billy Dream w/ Jessica Daly vs. Maleki w/ Dylan Dean
This match came about from what happened back in August when Maleki hit Jess. Billy Dream came out with fists of fire. Billy used garbage cans and plywood, but he couldn't put Maleki away. Jessica Daly came up on the ring apron and tried to hit Maleki, but instead it distracted Billy Dream. This allowed Maleki to hit the "Holy Ghost" for the win. After the match, Maleki again got his hands on Daly, but "The Star" Eric Kobian came out and stopped Maleki.

WXW Tag Team Title Match

On October 12th, the WXW Tag Team Titles were defended in Pittsburgh, Pa pitting Bob and "Weave", subbing for Neil, taking on the Twin Tackles. The Tackles came out with the win and the titles when they pinned "Weave" during the match.

This led us up to the rematch as the champions Twin Tackles defended against Neil n' Bob. Or would they? Before the match started, Commissioner Lotto Money said that the titles still belonged to Neil N' Bob because "Weave" was pinned in the match the night before and since he isn't a champion, the titles did not change hands. Neil N' Bob are still the champions.

This didn't affect the Tackles at all as they saw this as a chance to regain the titles. Regain the titles is just what they did as they annihilated the champions.

WXW Cruiserweight Title: "Big Poppa" Pete challenges "ShowTime" Shane Black This was Pete's title match from his win in the Battle Royal and he wasn't about to waste this opportunity. Pete was going in there to continue his fast way to the top, but could he overcome the experience of "ShowTime" Shane Black? Shane was teaching Pete a wrestling lesson of a lifetime, but made one costly mistake and Pete won with a belly-to-belly suplex and the title!! Pete was in the ring celebrating with his brand new title belt, but all of a sudden, Shane grabs the microphone. He informed Pete that the cruiserweight limit is 220 lbs. and Pete is 225 lbs. so therefore, he is over the limit and Shane is still the champion. Lotto Money came out and agreed and the title was given back to Shane Black.

The first match after intermission pitted the newest graduate of the WSPWTC, Havoc, taking on the returning "Samoan Storm" Afa, Jr. Havoc gave the WXW TV Champion a run for his money as he gave the champ a scare a few times in the match, but Jr. came back to win the match with the "Rock Bottom".

A battle of newcomers as "The Star" Eric Kobian took on Chris Stylz. Both of these men showed the great potential they posses and proved they will be in WXW for a long time, but Kobian was just a little better tonight as won with the Frogsplash. During the match, Maleki came out to "scout" Kobian, but out came "Xtreme" Billy Dream and those two gladiators fought back to the locker room.

The next match pitted "Teen Icon" Shawn Sheridan w/ Franky Fuji taking on "Beautiful" Billy Body. The action was fast paced in the match as both men were fighting to impress the WXW Championship Committee. In the end, Billy Body wins with a springboard off the ropes into a leg drop.

Main Event
WXW Title Match
Champion: Samu vs. Challenger: "Smooth" Tommy Suede w/ Ariel

This match was a battle of arguably the two most popular wrestlers in WXW. Could Suede match up against the more powerful Samu? Suede was determined to make the most of this match and come up with the title and go into the Big WXW TV Taping this Sunday as the champ. Samu, though, wouldn't be defeated and nailed Suede with the "Samoan Cutter". As the referee went for the count, out came Dylan Dean and the Twin Tackles and jumped Samu and Suede. All of a sudden, Suede joined in with the Twin Tackles in pounding on Samu. Out came the Moondawgs and chased Suede and the Tackles to the floor where Dylan Dean proclaimed "STS" has joined Team Dean! Has Suede sold his soul to the devil? Why would one of the most popular wrestlers in WXW go with Team Dean?

A six man tag was made for the next show in Hazleton on November 3rd as it will be Samu and Moondawgs 2000 taking on Team Dean: "STS" Tommy Suede and the Twin Tackles w/ Dylan Dean.

Unlike Scott Matthews, I will promote the WXW Net Cast. This event was taped for the "Brand New" Net Cast and will be posted sometime this week. Join "Mean" Mark Clemson and The Bald Guy bring you "United We Stand" in its entirety exclusively on www.thebaldguy.net. For more information on how you can help donate to the Red Cross please visit their website at www.redcross.org

WXW now rolls into its LIVE television show THIS Sunday at the brand new Lehigh Valley Sports Zone at 1209 E. Sherman Street, Allentown, Pa. Will "STS" strike against Samu, or will the Samoans finally shut the mouth of Dylan Dean up. Join us "LIVE AT 5" on Service Electric Cable TV. Doors open at 3:30 pm.
