BAUMGARTEN
Susan Elaine, beloved wife of James Lee Baumgarten, was set free from her illness on May 1st, 2003 with her husband and children at her side. She was born in Albany, California on April 12th, 1940 and over the years, was a beloved teacher and homemaker in Pago Pago, Mayaguez, Muscatine, El Paso, Long Beach and Symmes Township. With an amazingly creative spirit, she touched many through her wonderful teaching, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, cake decorating, and candy making. Her extraordinarily positive attitude during her three-year struggle with cancer inspired all who knew her. “God knows what He is doing, and He doesn’t make mistakes.” She is deeply missed by her husband, Jim; children, Kimberly, Peter, and Robert; six grandchildren; and countless family members and friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 on Saturday, May 10th at Saint Peter in Chains. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Peter in Chains, 325 8th St, Cincinnati, 45202.

When I was a child, my father showed me a picture of Venus de Milo and told me that I would end up with arms like that if I didn't stop biting my fingernails. I think that was my first introduction to fine art. On our recent trip to Paris, I could not resist having my picture taken in front of the real thing.
