Sanctuary to the dark creatures of the night.......
DH is closed........ but I have a few (okay, alot) of words I'd like to say.
Oh boy, where to start? Um, okay, explanation of why DH is gone. It had a full run (over 35,000 hits at the time of this writing) and it's just time to close up shop. The "glamour" that it once had , is faded. My artists have all started shops of their own, and customers have had enough av's done here to last a life time. DH is just no longer useful to anyone. There's a billion and a half paint shops out there, and it seems like everyone and their brother is an artist now. Mind you, I'm not mad about this, these things happen. In fact, I'm kinda glad it did. To be honest, VP has lost its fun for me as well.
So, before DH drifts off into the black void of nothingless, I'd like to thank some people:
Maeve, Goddess Tea, Chilli, Akeru, Hobbet, and Kahlen. My Core. The artists that stuck with this paint shop all the way through, and in the case of Maeve, all the way from the very first day. Without you talented artists, and good friends, this place would of been dead a long time ago. Thank you for your skills, thank you for putting up with my shit, thank you for everything.
DarkKiss, Myst, Domenique, Matt, Psyche, WolvenEyes, Misery, Chyna Doll, Mekar1313, Mookia, Omen, Lady Kaleth, Faithy, Dezeray, Queen, JCB, Rae, Limit, Bladez, Sad, Drug, Vasean, Akasha, Kimera, and Nemigy. (I know I'm forgetting people, and I'm truely sorry) All these people that have given their talents at one time or another to work here. I have to thank you all, each one of you contributed something special to this site.
I gotta thank Jack, Pestilence, Dee, and Sotuh. My boys, who kept me sane (er somewhat) in this madhouse they call VP.
I even have to thank Master, who even tho I'm not to fond of him now, he's the first one that gave me a chance to work at a paint site, and inspired me to make my own.
But MOST importantly, I have to thank you. You, the one sitting here reading this. Because you, and people like you, are the reason this site was created in the first place. Happy "customers", telling their friends about us, writing such great reviews in the Guest Book, made all the shit, all the fights, all the hiring/firing, worth while. Because you enjoyed what we did here. you have thanked me in my guest book, and in my site, but now is my turn to thank you. Thank you for making this a site that worked. Hey, 35k hits is nothing to sneer at, I'm pretty damn proud, and I have you to thank.
Have fun all. You probably won't be seeing me around. Vp just isn't fun for me anymore, just too much BS. I might stop in from time to time, but don't hold your breath. But if Vp becomes fun again, let me know, I might open this back up, and try again.
