Elks and K. of P. Will March to the Cemetery

The funeral of J. A. Friend who died Monday Morning, will be held today from the Roman Catholic Church at 10 o’clock. The Elks and Knights of Pythias, of which the deceased was a member, will accompany the remains to the cemetery.

FINAL RITES TODAY FOR MINNIE GUNTER

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Earle Gunter, 91, of 525 N. Denver Avenue, who died Thursday in a convalescent home, will be held at 4 p. m. Friday in Moore’s Memory Chapel. Mrs. Gunter had resided in Tulsa since 1912. She came here from Besemer, Alabama having resided earlier at her native Pleasant Hill, Alabama. She was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her husband, Leonidas E. Gunter, a retired farmer died in 1918. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lutie Hurst, 1307 S. Owasso Avenue, a sister, Mrs. J. M. Watson, Hayneville, Alabama, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 11/20/99 10:22:11 PM
