Sonic Adventure
The premiere title for the Dreamcast turns out to be one of the most interesting games out on the market. It has all the markings of a classic game. Top-notch graphics, inspiring gameplay, & fun unparalled. There's 6 Different Characters to play through as. Each one has their own style of fighting (or running) & open up stages that other characters never see. You'll be piloting, shooting, bowling, racing, hammering, running, dodging, flying, digging, hunting, & kicking your way all through this game. Their stories all relate to a bigger tale involving the whole crowd. In other words you best beat the game with everybody if you truly want to understand the entire story & open up Super Sonic. In all a good 20 hours or so worth of varied & exhilirating gameplay. It was just a little disappointing to find out that some characters only took a couple of hours to beat the game with. Sonic remains the main attraction of the game. Choas are another major part of the game. They're basically the Tamogotchi creatures that you raise on your VMU & ultimately race in the game. And the Internet Connection links to Special Sonic-Themed Chat Rooms & Sonic-Only Downloads. A few examples include the AT&T Speed Highway Stage Remix & the Halloween Theme. There's still a few problems with the game. The camera still presents a problem at times (can't anybody perfect the 3D camera!?). And the background suffers from occasional pop-out though it's in the far distance. Other minor annoyances include the fact that you can't skip by cinemas & seemingly out of place Rock 'n Roll (almost sounds like the first season of Power Rangers). Despite these few nauches, Sonic Adventure is one heck of a game that literally raises the bar on it's genre. If there was one game to get for the DC it would be this.
