Welcome to our School!

We are a child-centered community committed to providing alternative educational choices for our students, so they may realize their full potential as loving, peaceful, intelligent decision-makers.

All students enter school with a readiness for learning, and we strive to understand and provide opportunities for diverse learning patterns.

The Natural Learning Montessori Academy is a non-profit organization, chartered by the State of Ohio and licensed by the Ohio Board of Education. We are governed by a Board of Trustees, comprising elected parent and teacher representatives, and appointed members from within and outside the parent community. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in the school as members of Board committees, the Family Association, and as individual volunteers.

Students come to NLMA from areas near and far. Local public school systems provide bus transportation for students aged five years and older. Many parents form carpools.

The Montessori method combines children of different age groups in one classroom. This setting encourages interaction and developmental growth.

The levels at NLMA are typically organized as follows:

Childrens' House (ages 3 - 6)
Elementary (ages 6 - 9)
Elementary (ages 9 - 12)

This organization may be adjusted to meet the needs of our enrollment.
