The Chagrin River Salmon Association was founded in 1973 to support, assist, and maintain interest in the stocking of Salmon and Steelhead in the Chagrin River.

From its founding, our organization of approximately 120 members has continued to inspire interest in fishing, boating, conservation, and education among our members, other associations, and the public.

Other concerns, such as, pollution of our lakes, rivers, and streams and the prevention of same, are paramount in our priorities. We deal with other issues from time to time including legislative matters.

The Chagrin River Salmon Association is well known in a multi-county area for its ideals and willingsness to get involved in the community. Annually, we sponsor our Senior Citizen Fish Fry and Lou Ray's Kids Fishing Derby. We make donations of time and money and provide other organizational support to the community whenever possible.

Frateralism among fishermen, which includes the exchange of fishing and boating ideas, concepts, latest techniques still remains to be one of our most important goals. Our club will always remain open to new members who have similar interests and wish to share them in a common cause. As an example of membership interest, we normally have 45% of members in attendance at our monthly meetings (hard to beat!).

The Chagrin River Salmon Association will continue to be an asset to all concerned. With the goals and ideals mentioned above, we still manage to have some god social affairs for our members. So, come join us at a meeting and join our association when you do.
