Never heard of it? Not surprising. The Keepers of Goreth is a fantasy Epic that I hope to one day write. The story and characters are based on a D&D campaign that my friend and I played over a period of about 6 or 8 years. Naturally we picked up a lot of inspiration from other stories by authors such as Eddings and Hickman and Weis (We were just kids at the time) but the story has it's own original style, and I'm hoping to create a story that will entertain readers.
Basically The Keepers of Goreth are a band of heroes living in the small Kingdom of Goreth. Goreth is a young kingdom struggling to develop independance from the older and more powerful Palorthian Empire. Which has recently (200 years ago) suffered a collapse due to religious and political corruption. Palorthia has however recovered and has thus set it's sights on the newly developed Goreth in the hopes of once again expanding its Empire.
However, the threat that Palorthia represent is secondary as a greater, and older darkness is once again awakening. The tomb of Arath Akbar (The demons bible) has been found and rumours that the Demon Scepter an artifact capable of controlling demons is once again on the Prime Plane threaten all life in Goreth. Especially if the Demon Xathan Darksoul and his minions manage to recover it.
Unaware of these threats then are our heroes. A bumbling bunch of misfits, and love sick fools who are perhaps more interested in arguing with each other than they are in thwarting the efforts of Palorthia or the demons.
Anyway these notes are more for my reference than anyone elses. Feel free to check it out if you want but basically I'm just using this site to store my notes and various drafts. If you do happen to read any of it drop me a line and tell me what you think, but be nice because it is only a first draft. Oh yeah these guys are all my own design (and Roger's) and the plot, gags and devices are not to be stolen or ripped off please. Thanks.
This version is the one I'm going to run with, but there is a section of dialogue missing in the middle of this draft. So it will make no sense whatsoever.

This is an old version and makes a lot more sense. But I have since decided not to run with this because when the above version is complete it will be a lot better. The story devices and basic plot is the same though so this will give you a better feel of my little world.
