Antonova's Odd Couple
THE ODD COUPLE
The Rooster and Guinea sat side by side,
Their hunger for friendship overcoming their pride.
The Rooster would crow and the Guinea would squawk,
Their parade round their home bringing jeers and gawks.
With feathers fluffed, their dignity clasped.
They ignored these jeers as they took their laps.
The Rooster and Guinea gave thanks to God.
For their friendship true - though somewhat odd.
