PocketC Applets

When PocketC was released for the Palm Pilot, it was one of the first applications I installed in my new toy. I think it's great and provides enough to get simple applications up and running in no time. I tried several of the button libraries for PocketC, but ended up doing the button code myself. It was more fulfilling.

Any way, you can download the zip files and install the applications if you want to. You can down load the runtime for PocketC at www.orbworks.com. The runtime is free.

Timer

I tried several timers, but all required money and I don't need a timer that often! This was my second application. The first draft was written while stuck in a traffic jam one holiday. I finished it off on the beach. The joys of a PalmPilot and PocketC! Start with the button or the down hardware key. Stop using the same button or key. Up button will reset the counter if not counting.

Internet Time

Swatch have watches which support 'Internet Time'. Visit their Web site for details. They have some nice Java applets which display this time. I've implemented a similar thing in PocketC. You will need to tell the application how far you are from GMT. It does not change automatically for 'day-light' saving. Use the Up button to alter the offset. You will need to do this if you change a time zone. This program is free and NOT an alternative to a Swatch watch!

Support

NONE! These applets work fine on my pilot. I've only run them on PalmPilot Professional running OS 2.0.5. If they meet your needs I'm happy.
