Here are
my skins for "The Sims." I started off by making a Sim
of myself (at left) wearing my favorite raglan-sleeve shirt, a
blue-and-purple floral skirt and white sandals. I've also made a
Sim of my sweetie, shown to my right in an orange rib-knit tee. A
closer look at his shirt will reveal a crouching tiger. When he
turns sideways, you'll also notice his cool Airwalk shoes!
Below are my skins. All garments are my own designs except where noted.
Sims love to have fun, but it's hard to do in the
stiff, stuffy fashions that come with the game. At left is a
great summer outfit for a barbecue or beach party. Tiffany is
wearing a saucy embroided backless shirt topped with sexy
spaghetti straps and complemented by a pair of hip linen lowrider
shorts. Great for teen-age Sims! At right is our Gap girl, Linda.
She's ready to dance in a cheesy stop-motion TV commercial in a
breezy baby blue tank and kicky capris in -- what else? -- khaki.
Hey, at least she's not wearing Old Navy!

For the
politically inclined Sim, these T-shirts are a must. These 100
percent cotton tops will let the world know your Sim is proud of
who she is. At left is the popular "Rubenesque" tee,
which comes only in size large. No one will dare to call your Sim
fat in this bold shirt -- but if they do, she just may take it as
a compliment! At right is our "This is What a Feminist Looks
Like" tee. Since we're not sure just what feminists are
supposed to look like, we made this shirt in all sizes and for
all skin colors. Even the whiniest, laziest Sims will be

For Sims who don't want to give up fashion for function, our "Viv" outfit, inspired by the main character in "The Slums of Beverly Hills," is a perfect choice. This saucy halter top in white, green and brown stripes offers support and comfort while making a bold statement. Her Levi shorts are faded to laid-back perfection, and the outfit is topped off with sporty tube tops and a pair of funky green SimConverse hi-tops. Wearing this saucy ensemble, your Sim will encounter adventure and attention wherever she goes. Great for teens!
Sims are
notoriously shallow -- they'll turn down a proposal just because
they have an empty stomach! Imagine what an ugly dress will do to
your Sim's love life. No well-dressed Sim would be caught without
a sexy sundress. Whether at a block party or a hot Sim date, the
right sundress is sure to make a great impression. Ours has a
flattering empire waist and comes in cornflower blue and posy
pink. Hey, even if her beloved turns down her proposal, at least
your Sim will find comfort knowing she looks damn
fine!!!

Unfortunately for those of you
who haven't found the cheat codes yet, Sims have to work for
their money. Thanks to these career-savvy fashions, your Sims
will have the edge at the office when it comes to getting
noticed. At left, Mercedes is wearing a respectable yet
approachable poly-rayon pantsuit in a becoming seafoam.
Underneath is a pink silk V-neck shirt. If clothes got motive
points, this outfit would be Energy 5, Comfort 8. At right, Karin
is sporting a playful linen dress trimmed with kicky tomatina
brocade and complemented with matching shoes. A ruby pendant tops
off this cheery business look. Great for young professionals who
don't want to give up fashion for function!

For the
insipid, high-maintenance Sim (you know the one -- she'll be on
the couch with a bag of chips crying because her boyfriend hasn't
called), impractical haute couture garments are a
must-have. And how convenient -- House of Simone is the finest
Sim couturier (well, OK, to be honest, since sims only come in
three sizes, all the clothes here are off-the-rack). At left is a
simpering cotton floral print Paul & Joe halter dress with
matching white llama-skin slippers. An elegant choice for the
most discerning Sim socialites. At right is a lascivious yet
refined red silk Anne Hung number with silvery-blue Sergio Rossi
sandals. The neckline is slit almost to the belly button, which
would be great for nursing if that was an option for Sim moms. As
it stands now, it's just a way for Sim women to expose their
breasts in the name of fashion. Or a way for the fashion industry
to get the highest simoleon amount for the least amount of
fabric. You decide.

Finally, finishing off my inaugural collection, we have the Powerpuff Girls T-shirt set for Sim girls. Bright, breezy blue shorts are topped off by a pink top featuring my favorite Powerpuff Girl, Bubbles. What Sim wouldn't want a shirt with her favorite cartoon character on it?
