Autopsy: Drugs killed Haskell Man
* Report shows no drugs in shooting Victims.
The young man accused of slaying two friends in January in Haskell died of a drug overdose. The Victims had no drugs in their systems, said Muskogee County Chief Deputy Darrin Smith.
Jess Enkey, 20, died of an overdose of cocaine, Smith said.
Enkey was accused of shooting Michael Ryan Bair, 18, and Christopher "Rusty" Lee Hutson, 18, to death. Bair and Hutson's bodies were found in the Enkey's parents' home west of Haskell on January 26.
As police suspected, Bair and Hutson died of gunshot wounds to the head, the medical examiner's report stated.
A plastic bag of marijuana found next to one of the vitims appears to have been planted there, Smith said.
Enkey was found dead later the same day east of Haskell in his family's pickup with the engine running.
Although the investigation is considered closed, Smith said if any new leads came in, they would be checked out.
"There's questions that will never be answered." he said.
