Holly's Pink Bunny Slippers
These cute little slippers will fit a size 9 - 11 child foot. They fit my Holly who is 6 years old.
Note: for rows 1 – 11, at the end of each round, join in the second chain of the first ch2.
Row 1. Chain 2, 8 hdc in the farthest chain from hook, join as above.
Row 2. Chain 2, hdc in same stitch as joining, 2 in each hdc around, join as above.
Row 3. Chain 2, hdc in same, (1 hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc) around, join as above.
Rows 4 – 11. Chain 2, hdc in each hdc around, join as above.
Row 5. Chain 2, hdc around, leaving 7 empty stitches (for the top of her foot), ch 2 and turn.
Rows 6 – 12. Hdc across to end. Chain 2, turn.
At the end of row 12, chain 1 and sc across the ends of the rows, around the front of her foot and back down the other side (to make it look finished), leave a long piece of yarn for sewing the back of the slipper up.
Ears: Chain 9, sl st in first ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 3 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in last ch. Turn and repeat this up the other side of the same chain, and leave a long piece of yarn for sewing on the ear.
Eyes and Nose: You can sew cute black buttons on for eyes and a cute pink button on for a nose.
Whiskers: if you tie a piece of yarn to the slipper behind the nose, you can separate it to make the twisty whiskers.
