The 4th Annual Kris Kross Day will be on March 25th 1999. Click here for more details!
Well last year's Kris Kross day, held on March 25th 1998, was almost as bad a failure as last year. I saw only 2 people other than myself who were wearing their clothes backwards. I heard that 3 other people did it too. Well it's better than last year's 3. I went all out. Shirt, pants, socks, shoes. I was about 15 hours in the wrong shoes. For some reason my toes hurt the next day.
Apparently this year wasn't actually the 2nd annual Kris Kross day but the 3rd. Friends of mine claim that last year I was making a big deal about it being the second time in a yearly tradition because I'd done it the year before. To be totally honest I don't remember any of it. Once 20 hits the memory's the first thing to go. At least I've still go it where it counts. (That's a reference to my intelectual and sexual prowess) I guess next year I'll call it the 4th annual Kris Kross Day. There better be a bigger turn out though.
If you're still wondering what exactly Kris Kross day is allow me to explain. Well it's quite simple. To celebrate looking foolish once a year we all wear our clothes backwards. Shirt, jeans and even shoes and sock for the hardcore celebrators. Spread the word. Everyone can benifit be it positively or negatively from this momentus occasion. So find a shirt that would look obviously backward if warn like so and keep it aside for the next Kris Kross Day. I hope to see you all making @55es of yourselves next year.
This celebration has been a tradition since 1996. The first year only one person did it. By 1998 a reported 6 people participated in some way. Even more if you count Mat's backwards hat and my sister and her friend's reversed shoes for an hour.
I bet you're wondering what ever happened to Kris Kross. Sure they had their 3 big albums: "I Missed the Bus", "Totally Krossed Out" and "Jump" all released in 1992, what a year, but then what? No they didn't fall off the edge of the earth. To be perfectly honest they got real messed up. They kept releasing stuff until 1996 only no one cared anymore. I counted the song "Tonite's Tha Night" 7 times on the list of songs. Well at least they're not like Ace of Base who put a new name while it's just the same old song.
