I started drawing in late November/early December 1998.
My first completed picture is "Fiddle", a pencil drawing.
As I've had no art training and have never really drawn before, I initially, made a lot of mistakes.
Fortunately, because I was using pencils, the mistakes were relatively easy to correct
and I learned as I went along.
I was given an artist's pen for Christmas and started doing
a few pen and ink sketches before attempting a "real" picture.
One of the problems of doing time-consuming work, is that it's hard
to always see the progress that one made the day before.
I thought it would help me if I kept a record of each stage the picture went through.
Thus, was born the idea for this web site.
I would love to hear any constructive criticism on how to improve what I'm doing,
so feel free to leave any comments or suggestions in the guestbook.
I have successfully completed several commissions and sold a number of my completed works.
Prices for my original artwork vary,
and some pictures are available as Limited Edition prints and/or
notecards.
Please feel free to check out the current
pricelist
or send me an
email.

Poetry
These poems were all written by a very talented young
man. Though his subject matter may be a little "dark"
at times, his understanding and usage of the english language
belie his youth.
If you have any comments about his poetry, please feel free to leave them
in my guestbook for him, he would love to hear from you.
Contest
The winner has been chosen in the first "Name The Painting" contest.
This was a lot of fun and I hope to run another one soon.
Note:Because of a "pest" who has, more than once,
left rather nasty language in my guestbook, I have activated the filter.
This means that when you sign my guestbook, your entry will not show until I go in and "approve" it.
I apologize for using this method, but please be assured that I will approve your entry. *S*
