Prince William Timeline
1999
- May 31
- It's not big news but today CBC will air a special on William and Harry.
- May
- News broke that William will become Eton's swimming captian begining in September.
- April 15
- Prince William becomes a godfather for the first time. He attended Konstantine Alexios' Christening today, acting as one of 7 godparents.
- April
- Prince William has surgery on one of his left fingers which he broke playing sport.
- February
- Prince William spent 3 days in a work experience program at Spink and Co. (Part of Christie's Auction House specializing in military medals) "just a stone throw from his home at St Jame's Palace."
- February
- Prince William and his A Level Geography classmates went on a field trip to see the infamous Aylesbury estate in Walworth. This is "one of London's most run-down estates," with a serious drug and crime problem.
- Spring
- Prince Harry and William enjoys an African safari in Botswana with royal helper Tiggy Legge Bourke.
- January
- For the winter break from school "William will stay home to take part in various shoots." He's decided to stay home while Charles and Harry went skiing.

William was named one of People's Magazine's Most Beautiful People of 1998.
- He had his braces removed.

- Prince William and Harry appealed to the public to let their mother rest in peace, through a public statement issued by St Jame's palace on behalf of the Princes.

- Prince Harry joins William at Eton College.
- June 22
- William called home to tell Charles he'd be stopping for a change of clothes before going out with friends. That's when Charles asked if William would mind "spending a few momments with Camilla," Charle's mistress of 26 years. The meeting went well.

- William celebrates his 16th birthday with some friends.

- He also gave his first written interview with the Press to mark his birthday.

- Prince William arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia for a fun holiday which includes skiing at the world famous Whistler Mountain.
1997
- William was named one of Barbara Walters' Most Interesting Person of 1997.

- Prince William, his father, and Prince Henry and a bunch of friends attended the screening of the New Spice Girls movie.
- August 31
- Princess Diana, William and Harry's mother, died in a car accident.
- Prince William missed out on a safari in Botswana. Prince Harry got to go because he was with Prince Charles on a trip in southern Africa.

- William attends his first Dance. Girls were trying to get him to kiss them.
- September 7
- Prince William starts his schooling at Eton College, an exclusive all boys school.
- August 19
William was mentioned in the Court Circular, the daily bulletin issued by Buckingham Palace about the activities of the Royals, for the first time. He was accompanying his mother, father and brother with other royals in the Mall to commemorate the 50th anniversary of VJ Day and the end of WWII.

- William finished his schooling at Ludgrove School, Wokingham, Berkshire.

Diana gave Wiliam a surprise for his 15th B-day, a cake with topless female figurines.
1992
- December 9
- Prime Minister John Major in the House of Commons announced his parent's separation. The Princess had informed William of this privately a few days earlier.
1991
- June 3
- William was admitted to the Royal Berkshire Hospital after being hit on the side of the head wit a golf club. He was later transfered to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital. Even though he underwent an operation, royal records showed that "Prince William was very brave and did not cry."

- William has his first public engagement with Prince and Princess of Wales on a visit to Wales on St David's Day at a service in Llandaff Cathedral.

- William starts schooling at Ludgrove School, Wokingham, Berkshire.

Prince Henry is born. He's William only brother. He's also very very cute!

- Our Prince is Born as the first child of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He was born at 9:03 pm at St Marry's Hospital in London. He was named Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor of Wales.
